A Ghanaian rapper, By name
Sarkodie has recently released a diss track “Try Me” in response to
recent allegations made by actress Yvonne Nelson in her book “I Am Not
Yvonne Nelson.” In the book, In Yvonne Nelson’s expressive state she
claims that she had an abortion after conceiving a baby with Sarkodie. However the Ghanian born rapper has come out to deny these allegations
and in a recently realeased diss track which he meted out and makes an assertion calling Yvonne Nelson a “liar” and a
“cheat.” He also accuses her of trying to ruin his reputation.
The track was released on June 28, 2023 and it quickly went viral as a result of the already pending expectation from Ghanaians wanting a reaction from the rapper following the success and popularity the book ” I am not Yvonne Nelson ” gained from the public. Many people however have praised Sarkodie for his response, while others have criticized him for stooping to Nelson’s level.
Finally replying to the claims in his new ‘Try Me’ song, Sarkodie made it known he wasn’t the one that solely called for the abortion. He revealed that Yvonne Nelson said she couldn’t have kept it because she was in school then and had to further her education.
“I never thought I was going on this wave, cause I was ready to take a couple of things to my grave. First of all, let me clap for you baby you are brave but you can’t pick and choose what to say pls behave, nobody sent you so Ohemaa if you want to talk, you have to tell the world every n*gga that you f*cked” Sarkodie rapped .
He further said ” I am not going to sit here and lie we had a thing, first I thought we were cool till I had a thing. You told me you were pregnant and I was the one to be blamed. Yes I wasn’t ready but I told you to keep it and you explained that you have to complete your school”.
“To be honest, till date, I don’t believe it because I said my doctor should take care of you and you said you don’t need it. After the conversation, you sent me a text that a friend of yours said she had a doctor and he is the best. So don’t make it seem like I was the one pushing you for abortion because that’s the only part that made me angry,” Sarkodie said in his expressive state.
