On Thursday Netflix made a special announcement for Squid Game fans. The Giant streaming platform unveiled the highly-anticipated cast for the second season of the popular South Korean series and revealed that along with the OG star cast, which includes Lee Jung-jae, Wi Ha-joon, Gong Yoo and Lee Byung-hun, several new faces have joined the ensemble cast.

Which we can agree on to be one of the most popular shows on Netflix, Squid Games became immensely popular which lead to the streaming giants announcing season 2 with an equally amazing and star studded cast.
With Squid Games 2 in production and Lee Jung-jae replay his role as Seong Gi-hun, the popular South Korean news outlet Dispatch
revealed the star’s shocking new salary. According to Dispatch, Jung-jae would
be charging over $1 Million per episode of the 13-episode thriller drama
against his $245,000 per episode salary during the first season. This would
equal Lee Jung-jae making about $13 Million for the entire Season 2 of Squid
Games. which this would automatically make Lee Jung-Jae the highest paid Actor ever.
It has however been revealed that Netflix did not turn down his request. Since he tends to play a significant role in the series and his increasing world wide popularity after the release of the season one which was a major success after the series became the most streamed Tv Series of all time following its release at the time.

Game Season 2 has sparked a lot of discussion online. Some people believe that
he is justified in asking for such a high salary, given the show’s immense
popularity. Others argue that it is too much money, and that Netflix may not be
willing to pay it. Ultimately, it remains to be seen whether Lee Jung-jae will
get his wish. However, one thing is for sure: his request has certainly raised
the stakes for Squid Game Season 2.
